Pipe Major Hugh Grant was personal piper at Skibo castle in Dornoch, Scotland from 1920-1946 for Louise Whitfield Carnegie, wife of Andrew Carnegie, and then from 1946-1957 for Margaret Carnegie Miller, only daughter to Andrew and Louise.

This copy of his original notations was presented to the Carnegie Mellon University by Margaret Thompson, the great-grand daughter of Andrew Carnegie, on the occasion of her visit to the University in October 2000.
