2.	I proposed to you to allow me to have the services of Mr. W.H. Reed for so long a time as might be necessary to exhume the said saurian, say six months, and agreed to pay his salary myself during that time thereby releasing your University from the necessity of paying him anything on account of salary for that time, thus saving to you the sum of $750. - his salary for 6 months.

3.	I proposed in addition to pay Mr. W.H. Reed the sum of $300. for the six months in addition to his regular salary of $750.

4.	I proposed to be myself at the expense of everything needed in the work
