I have been absent, in Omaha for over a week and returned home this morning. Your telegram of the 17th inst. just at hand. Mr. Owen has within the past few days been appointed Inspector of Survey for the United States. I presume however he can do the work you wish done. I will endeavor to telegraph you by tomorrow night.
