April 5, 1899: Holland from Reed Laramie, April 5 - 99 My Dear Dr. Holland Yours of the 1st came yesterday and was glad to hear that evrything was satisfactory. all things stand just as they did when you went away. I met your council on Sunday after you wrote me and gave him the information but have heard nothing of the matter since so I supose it is all right. I made my claim under the Placer law and sent a coppy of the notice to the county clerk of Carbon Co to be recorded but have never heard from him and do not know that the record was ever made. I have also learned by consulting the map of Carbon Co. that I got the no. of the township wrong my description says township 26 - when it should have been 25. Downey know all about this he also told me that this board of regent could hold my cervices until this school year was out that is the first of July. Now I don't like that for since I have decided to go the sooner I am out of this the beter
