astragalus. Pelvic bones minus Illium [sic]. About one dozen Ribs the largest of which is 6 feet in length. Four or five vertebrae in sight in rather poor condition. Quarry looks very favorable for many more bones of skeleton. The taking out process is slow owing to the tangled up position of bones. Quarry No. 2. (Diplodocus) Femur (5 feet) Caudal vertebra and one toe bone in sight all in good preservation. Little work done on this Quarry. Near by on same level occur many vertebrae which may belong to same individual. Chances seem favorable for something good in the way of this rare species. Quarry 3. Head of Troublesome 3 or 4 places where bones of marine Reptiles of the Ichthyosauria are exposed. This is the genus Baptanodon (Marsh) of which Yale has the only specimen. The probabilities seem very good for some good material in this line. Quarry 4 west end of Little Medicine anticlinal 5 or 6 miles from Medicine Bow. Indications as above spoken of. Our Stegosaurus Quarry of which I wrote you in my last letter appears to be "n.g." although we will do a little more work there.
