June 6, 1899 My Dear Dr. Holland Since writing you from Medicine Bow we have been prospecting in the Freeze Out Hills mostly to the west of Dyer's Ranch. All of Reed's prospects proved disappointing and we proceeded to locate others. In spite of the continuous storm we have had since leaving the Bow we have located six good looking prospects. Upon one of these we have worked two days and have in sight one femur, tibia and fibula, one ischium, two pubes, one cervical vertebra and many ribs. The prospect looks very favorable for a large part of a skeleton which barring the surface bones should be in a good state of preservation. The animal I judge is either a large Morosaurus or a small Brontosaurus. The femur measures
