McGinley, etc. No inkling of this had been given any member of the Committee beforehand. It came as a complete surprise to Mr. Frew and Colonel Church. Bigelow has a plan to have the city buy this property, under condemnation proceedings if necessary, for a million and a half dollars, and on his own hook had gone on to see Mr. Carnegie, and A.C. had promised him three millions for buildings in case he secured the property. Of course nothing will ever happen in this connection. The Heinz watches have all been arranged in the case. I have had stands made to support them three inches high, cut the shape of the watches, and have succeeded in getting a small reflecting mirror to show the opposite sides of the watches. I will have Prentice make the labels for these, as he will finish the labels for the coins the first part of next week.
