but this ttime I am going to let Mr. Carnegie pay for my transportation and bare necessities in Berlin and Paris, estimated at $5. per diem.  I have met some reverses and hardly feel that I would be doing right to my family to charge all of my expenses of the trip to my personal account.  We are feeling the pinch of the timess through the failure of some things to pay and the reductions in the account of dividents in other cases.  To tell the truth, my situation personally is not entirely comfortable.
