I have your letter of February 6th relating to Mr. Carnegie's intention to  present to HIS MAJESTY the EMPEROR a replica of the great reptile, Diplodocus.  In reply I beg to say that I shall take great pleasure in forwarding your letter relating to Mr. Carnegie's generous offer to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for such action as he may see fit to take in this matter.



I remember very well having met you at Tokio and our pleasent meeting on bord the "Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse" in 1900.
