This presentation is made at thier request, the funds being provided by Mrs. Andrew Carnegie.  



The arrangements have now been completed with the Pennsylvania Railroad to grant a free haul from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati; their transfer to your lines; you will carry the goods to New Orleans; the Southern Pacific has kindly granted free transportation from New Orleans to Alic; Texas and Mexican road has notified us of thier pleasure in transporting the object from Alice to Laredo, and the government of Mexico have notified the Mexican railways to take charge at Laredo and forward it free to the capital free of freight and free of duty.
