I am herewith enclosing the export declaration of the firm, which made the tablets, which have gone forward to you, and which probably have arrived at the Museum already.  In case there has been any delay notify me.  The shipment went forward in the last week of June, shipment being by the American Railway Express Company, which connects in Mexico with some corresponding company.  The shipper's Export Declaration should be of assistance to you in case there is any delay in delivery.



I trust everything comes to hand in good order.  I very greatly appreciated your kind lines of June 30th and wish that I could adjust the brusk Anglo-Saxon, which I have used from childhood so that it may convey in as elegant and refined form the exquisite courtesy embodied in your closing paragraphs.  But if my rude northern speech is not equal in grace to the exquisite refinements of Spanish phrase, permit me to assure you that all the gracious things which you have said I reciprocate.
