Senor Don I. Ochoterena, Director del Instituto de Biologia Casa del Lago, Chapultepec, D.F. My dear Mr. Director I have been absent from home for some time in New York, and there received the enclosed communication. Upon opening it I discover that the letter is one addressed by you to a party connected with the Museum at Frankfurt, Alemania, and evidently the letter you intended for me has gone to that party in Frankfurt. I am returning the letter to you with the request that you will kindly let me know what it was converning which you wrote to me. As I think I informed you, or your predcessor in office, it was not likely that I could come to Mexico to erect the replica of the Diplodocus much before this time, but if it now suits your convenience I shall be very glad to make my arrangements to come quickly and terminate the undertaking.
