Plaster Casts of Diplodocus



At the present time there are in the Carnegie Museum two complete undrilled, unpainted sets of diplodocus casts.



The cost for making the moulds and first five sets of casts was approximately fifty-eight hundred dollars ($5800.00).  The estimated cost for one complete cast at the present time, twenty-five hundred dollars ($2500.00).



The weight of one complete cast is 6,000 pounds; when boxed for shipment, 10,900 pounds.
