Where I have worked up our other Montana material I will endeavor to make up to you from our duplicates, the material which has been retained. We find that little green labels pasted on the specimens and bearing a number which refers to an entry in our locality register an almost indispensable device. In case I have the privilege of studying any more of your collections it would perhaps be well to use a number instead of a written label as it is not only shorter but more definite. I will append the localities corresponding to the numbers on the fossils returned to you. It certainly would be desirable before completing a final report on Montana fossils, to visit some of the localities in person. I thank you for your offer to cooperate to that end (as well as for other kindnesses) My plans for next summer also are
