here for a considerable time yet and then there are vast areas unexplored.   As near as I can learn similar deposits extend   for over 100 miles and they have been explored only to   20 miles west.  Then there are vast exposures of   hundreds of miles of them, but unexplored.  In the Big     Basin and in New Mexico the Wasatch has been found   sparingly follilferous through out   I feel certain that fossil Mammals   be found in ther.  I  when I came here for two or three hours to examine same exposures and found   an abundance of fresh water and land shells   on two fragement of bone.  expect to take a trip to the nearest Wasatch exposure about next Monday.



We are searching the beds here very throughly.  If   we cannot find everything in such a large area where
