used and the boxes filled.  cannot get such lumber as we want now but I have put in an order for 300 feet.  The lumber will have to be sawed so we will probably not get it inside of two weeks.  It will cost-about $4.60 per hundred laid down here.



Prices of course, are high here.  This is pretty nearly a desert and 30 miles form any town or post office near a stage road.  did let our horses "rustle" as there was some grass in the   but it is gone and we have to buy feed for them.  This will cost something like $20 per  .  have   ever by putting in about all the time there ourselves and not   another man. This would cost $60 to $65 per month including wages and board.  do our own cooking and everything else.  Stewart
