Jensen, Utah, Oct. 3, 1909 Mr Douglas Stewart, Pittsburg, Pa. My dear Stewart: This is Sunday and one of my men is going to the post office, so I will drop you a line. The work is moving along finely at present as the weather is fine and I have good men. I have quit sinking down for the present and we are going to take part of the thing up if we have time. We have ot yet found out how long we will have to stay. Hope you succeeded in getting ticket extended. I have return ticket to St. Paul and if you succeed in having my wife's ticket extended I will send mine. We need a little more time to get things straightened up but will try to get things safe if we have to go sooner. I hope to get a letter from you to-day. The foot of the other Dinosaur is going to be fine. I dont know how much of the skeleton is there besides. I understand (as I mistrusted) that the Amer. Museum of Nat. History has a man who is looking up things here. We ought to continue our work here until Dec. or later yet personally I rather go home of course. We could build a shed and excavate here all winter. It will be terrible working in the heat of the summer. The specimen is still holding out: Haven't missed anything except the left hind limb so far and probably we will get that. There is some disturbance of the bones of the body but just how much I am unable to say yet. Yrs E. Douglass
