D-09-10 No. 25 - Brontosaurus. Complete cervical series. Very large. As it seemed too large for no. 1 I numbered it 25 the 14 cervical were articulated . The largest vertebrae measured nearly 4 ft. in height. No. 26 - Dinosaur. Small. In top of gray sandstone or sandy clay near and perhaps partly in red stratum. About 12 ft. above hard sandstone ledge in which bones in quarry were partly burried. No other good bone have been found in this stratum except perhaps isolated bones. The bones were in a heavy, compact grennish rock which had been cracked irregular blocks by blasts near each end of the specimen. Par of this bone is soft and, to insure safety a large mass of the rock was taken up March 7, 1910.
