I have recd your letter of the 9th. I am sure that the boxes can be kept in good shape until spring. Surely it would be extremely unwise to ship when rates are so high when the fossils can be kept for a few months and shipped at a fraction of the cost. There may be some reasons why it would be better for the Museum to ship later.
