Alhandra, Uinta Ry. Dec. 31, 1912 My dear Mr. Stewart: I am now at this station on my way to Watson with team. Will get in Watson and begin loading the 2nd, if plans work. Got your letter of instructions on my way here. Will follow instructions. Have made arrangements for Uinta Cars and begun negotiations for Pennsylvania Cars. As I stated last Saturday I drew a check for $1600 (Sixteen Hundred Dollars) for freight -- aside from regular allowance. It is well to send two or three letters when a thing is of unusual importance as letters are apt to be delayed. I have been trying four months in vain to get blank checks from Oakland Savings and Trust Co. I think I will have to wire you to send me some. I don't know what is the matter. I will be in Watson several days perhaps until the 5th or 6th of Jan. then my address will probably be Mack until the 10th or perhaps later. Cannot tell just how long it will take us to transfer. Please excuse this envelope as my tablets were sidetracked somewhere. Yours Truly, Earl Douglass
