It is a startling fact, that as yet there are no published geological measurements of so important a formation as the Uinta and to the student, from lack of accurate geological descriptions, the whole thing must be hopeless confusion. I hope we can have the honor of enlightening the scientific world on this matter, especially as I am to stay here for three or four weeks anyway.
