Peterson had collected in the Uinta and the Mammals which Mr. Douglass had collected in 1908 makes over a quarter of a million pounds of fossils in the rock which have been sent from the Uinta Basin to the Carnegie Museum. I am now, in company with Mr. J.A. Kay, an employee of the museum, on a short expedition for the purpose of studying and measuring the Uinta Deposits from bottom to top, work which there is much need of doing. We have run across valuable material -- as skulls etc. from the Lower Uinta, but there is not now time for their recovery except the best.
