If the ribs of the left side had been in place this bone would have lain between the 4th & 5th ribs of the opposite sides. [Sketch]

I cant accurately describe or figure a bone which I cannot see but I can show you about its position. If it were entirely cleared from the matrix I might know what it is. It seems to suggest a clavicle, rather than a sternal plate. a and b are thin and look as if they might have articulated with something. Surfaces c & d are concave. If it is a sternal or a clavicle we probably will get its mate.

I think I told you we had struck part of the long-looked for spinal column of the Allosaurus!!
