Everything is arranged for effective work. I have good, capable resourceful men, men who take an interest in the work and who know how to do things. I am working four men now and can work them all to advantage -- in fact for a month or two I could have worked one or two more but did not know where to get men whom I wanted and no place to conveniently board them.

Besides Mr. Kay whome [sic] we pay the same as we paid him in 1912 (and he's worth the money) I pay the men just what I give the men who work for me on the ranch. When all four men work full time the payroal [sic] is now $275 per month. This includes board as they board themselves.
