July 1, 1915 Jensen, Utah My Dear Douglass:- I have to-day deposited your salary check to your account in the Oakland Savings & Trust Co., and I have also deposited the sum of $275.00 to the Field Account. I wish to call your attention to the fact that on the first of May you credit the Museum with $325 being deposited in the month of April. This was in error. The sum of $300 was the amount desposited in the month of April, and this left your balance on June the first $60.93, instead of 85.93 as shown by your books. As I deposited according to your request on June the 14th the sum of $50.00. I have now deposited $275.00, so that during the past month instead of receiving the $300, allotted to you, you will have received $325, thus straightening up our books to balance with yours. I am, yours very sincerely, Assistant to Director
