a lot of material that is out and ready to be shipped except that it has not been crated.  I think these boxes had bettter be gotten ready for shipment as soon as possible.  I am going to make an endeavor to obtain free transportation for this material, from Mack at least, to Pittsburgh, and am not without hope that I can obtain such a favor from the Railroads.   I see by the reports of the American Museum of Natural History that they have obtained free transportation for a carload they have brought in, and I do not see why we should not also obtain free transportation.
