My dear Stewart:

We are camped here by the Titanothere Quarry 45 miles from home and I have not the book with the last balance so I will send you a simple statment of expenditures during the month -- a temporary report. Will send the other when I get home. Will send vouchers then.

With regard to the small error of which you speak I will have to look that matter over later. I cannot now imagine how it is as every few months I have verified accounts by adding all debits and credits and it came out to a cent. Most of the time now I manage so my check-book balance agrees with balance in books
