will be no trouble about getting a permit to collect if we make early application. I presume that you have made such application ere this. Our attorney here says "That would be as good as a patent". I know there are others who would like to "get in" here for awhile. As our claim was not allowed we are, of course, entitled to the return of the purchase money of the land. The amount paid was $200. If you will have the receipt for this money returned to me or to Mr. T. W. O'Donnell of Vernal we will take steps, at the land office here, to recover the money. This receipt was signed by Don B. Colton April 5, 1913. You will find it among my vouchers for April, 1913. As I wrote some time ago, the most flattering, immediate prospects in the quarry seem to be the recovery of a skull of Apatosaurus? ("Brontosaurus") and the remainder of the skeleton of "the great and terrible beast". Yours Truly, Earl Douglass
