I am enclosing to you herewith application for you to sign:  signing it with your full name "Earl Douglass" on the two lines designated on the application,  and then return it to my office, and I will file same with the local officers of the Land Office.



I am returning to you herewith the Register's certificate.  However, the paper that you should have forwarded, and which we may need before we get the money, is the Receiver's receipt, which was issued to you at the time you paid the money, by Mr. Colton.  It is on a blue form and if you have not this in your files, it may be that you transmitted the same to Dr. Holland, if so, please write for it.
