I have not deposited the unual three hundred dollars at teh present time as your balnace on the 1st of February was $364.56. Let me know as soon as possible the amount that you will need. It does not seem necessary to deposit $300 unless you are in need of this amount at once. Possibly you can get along with a lesser amount and until having heard from you I will not make any deposit. I wish again to call your attention to the fact that you are not getting receipts for a great number of accounts which you are paying, and it is impossible to check up your statemtns uless you do so. We should have a receipt for everything, even such things as your own board. We require receipts in the Museum office for postage stamps, and certainly must require them in the field for large items.
