My dear Dr. Holland:- Our four feet of snow is gone and we have had a heavy fall of rain for this country, so things are pretty well soaked. Have been shut in -- or shut out -- for two or three weeks so far as traffic with teams is conserned Monday I took the force from the quarry and we have put in 6 metal culverts between here and the "Blue Dugway". They are 20 ft long and from 1 to 2 ft in diameter. We expect to have a permanent road now. The "dugway has been almost impassable but they are coming through now and it will probably be soon fixed up in good shape soon. Mud instead of water flowed from the steep clayey hills onto the road.
