My dear Stewart:-

I send Financial Statement for July.

Things are moving in fine shape. Have cut 100 ft or more, and past exposed portions of Apatosaurus, No. 240. Kay and I are taking this down while two other men are running cut farther to the east to try to get more of huge skeleton and other things. A good portion or section of bone layer now uncovered for action. No. 240 ought to come down fast -- good ground and fine bones. Found one tooth but havent struck skull yet.
