My dear Dr. Holland:-



Your letter of the 7th has just arrived.  Prof.  Knowlton, I am sure, returned all the specimens of fossil plants which I sent him for determination.  If I am not mistaken there are some of these specimens in the cases in which the invertebrate fossils are exhibited on the galler of the second floor.  They are of course in the storage drawers and are the side next to the    rooms.   There may be some in the room in which Mr. Peterson works, but I think they were all removed.
