Jensen, Utah, March 10, 1917 To Dr. Wm. J. Holland, Director Carnegie Museum, Pittsburg, Pa. Report of Work done at Dinosaur Quarry In October 1915 the Carnegie Museum Dinosaur Quarry, with 80 acres of land, was set aside as a national reserve, and was named "The National Dinosaur Monument". The Carnegie Museum then made application for a permit to continue working the quarry. This was granted, and the permit was received in March 1916. Work was then resumed at the quarry with a full force and has been continued uninterruptedly to the present time. On account of the uncertainty as to the future, supplies had become exhausted and tools were worn out.
