October 1, 1917 My Dear Doctor Holland: In reference to your letter of September 25th, regarding the matter of free transportation to Pittsburgh of three carloads of specimens of fossil dinosaurs from the Government Reservation in Utah for exhibtion in the Carnegie Museum. While under present conditions we are trying to conserve every car we can to help win the war, it will give me great pleasure to arrange for the free transportation of these fossil dinosaurs for the Carnegie Museum. It is noted from your letter you expect to have this collection loaded in the early part of October, and that you have already made arrangements with the C.B. & Q. R.R. for free handling to Chicago. I have written our traffice representative at Chicago to get in touch with the C.B. & Q people and see that the cars are billed to Pittsburgh free of charges. Yours very truly, A.W. Thompson
