I have often mentioned this Uintasaurus? No. 301 and there will probably be a good deal more to say about it. I have never before seen or heard of a Sauropod skeleton with the bones together like this. I judge it will be a Venus de Milo, with the arms on it, to the student of Sauropods. But I shall try to steer between the Scylla of saying too much and the Charybdus of saying too little as we expose as little as possible of the bone -- only to block it out in good shape and get it to you as nearly as possible as we find it. I feel pretty certain now that the much debated skull belongs with this animal and is only a few inches out of place. I uncovered only a portion of the face and think now that I mistook the lower arch for the orbit making it seem like part of a very large skull.
