Have some surplus but have to buy hay for team. in regard to the return of the money for the Carnegie Museum Placer Claim, I will say that some time ago I received a letter through the Land Office at Vernal stating that we had not yet formally relinquished claim to the land and money could not be refunded until that was done. As the transaction had been done in my name as agent I signed and returned to the land office the form which had been sent me for that purpose. I trust the money will be refunded without much further delay. In case it is not I will take up the matter with the register here and see if the settlement of the matter can be hastened. I have heard that you have had
