My dear Dr. Holland:-

We have just struck two vertebrae of a huge neck. The anterior portion weathered out on ledge. It may extend continuously the other way. We can [not] tell yet. Are in another nest of bones, perhaps skeletons.

Have been having a backward cold spring but it is warming up.
