We found, when we shipped the last time that when boxes are made and stand through one or two hot summers the nails work out in freighting. I am inclined to believe that when we freight again we can get it hauled by trucks to Price and shipped there. If it is hauled by teams they can just as well when it is once loaded take it to Price. The freighting to the railroad will cost a little more but it will save the freight on the Uintah Railroad and the transferring at Watson and Mack. It will be much better for the specimens and, I think we can save a quite a bit of money. The Uintah Railway Co. has not had the mail contract for more than a year -- about two years I believe. It is hauled by government trucks from Helper, or Price, therefore the roads have to be kept up.
