I wrote you about the first of the month that it needed about $50.00 more to pay bills still due, but that I would not draw checks for this until about the middle of the month. I have not heard from you but am sending for the mail and may have a letter. I am now reckoning on only the regular $300 and $50 additional, to get straight again. I trust you will not attribute the calls for extra funds to any selfish ends. I used my best judgment feeling that you did not wish to see the work drag when there was the most to do. I had had work to do and had used part of the men a part of the time myself. Last fall I did not have much work that it was necessary to do but there was work that needed to be done for the museum and material that needed to be gotten before the cold season came.
