With regard to my future connection with the Museum, I have deep interest in the work, I see great and intesely fascinating field ahead, and I am more than gratified with your attitude and the most pleasant mutual regard which exists.  I much regret that I am cramped financially an this seems to be the only  cloud in this fair sky, yet I fully believe things will soon work out to the best good fo the museum and myself.  In regard to plans I will write you more fully when I have more time.



The roads are in good condition now.  The overseer of the state road in Colorado said he would keep roads in good conidtion if we hauled that way, and roads have to be kept open as much as possible to Price or Helper on account of the mail.  There has been considerable snow to the west and north of there on the mountains and divides but it did not stay long here.
