My Dear Stewart- Mr. Douglass has asked me to write you in regard to my salary for this summer. For the month of May he paid me $125. I worked a good many hours over time besides Sundays. In the field I think one should disregard time and work when there is work to be done. If one is intrested in work he will do so. If not he should find something in which he is interested. As I told Mr. Douglass, this amount is satisfavtory to me for my work this summer. As I understood my agreement with Mr. Coggeshall I will receive $140 per month if I am taken into the Museum, and so far as I can learn, I could not live in Pittsburgh on a less amount. J. L. Roy Kay
