Dear Doctor Avinoff: I wish to sincerly thank you for the scientific papers which you have recently ordered sent to me. I have been looking them over and they revive old memories of hunting trips of myself and associates and of the treasures we "brought home". I have made, and am making, personal collections of rare and previously unknown fossils -- insects, plants, flowere, fruits etc. -- but my time, ambition (physical), and pocket book do not admit of making collections fo Mastodons, Dinosaurs etc. A few of these are in the hands of experts and probably all will be, in time, but I get the first big kick out of them. I hope to get east some time in the future and visit soem fo the larger museums including the one for which I worked so long. Sincerely yours, Earl Douglass
