This gave the impression that the whole skeleton had been buried there. About ten of the vertebrae of the tail had been weathered out and large portions of were picked up on the slope below. After uncovering the bones of the tail to the large pelvis, a report was made to the museum, and this aroused hopes there that either a whole framework o f the animal would be found or at least protions which were neede to mount a composite skeleton this animal beside that of Diplodocus. As yet no complete individual skeleton of any of the large Dinosaurs had been unearthed though Marsh had recovered a large part of the skeleton of Brontosaurus and the American Museum of Natural History has mounted
